Underfloor heating systems can either be heated by electricity or water and the type you choose will depend on your needs. If you're not sure which option is best for your home our engineers will be happy to advise.
Electrical systems are cheaper and faster to install and work well if you just want to use underfloor heating in one room. They work by laying mats under your flooring which then connect to a control panel. However, electricity prices can mean they are more expensive to run.
Water powered underfloor heating uses a system of pipes which are laid all across the floor's surface and connect back to your boiler to allow warm water to flow directly through them. You can then control the heating using a control panel. This type of system is more expensive and disruptive to install but works well if you need to use underfloor heating across your whole house. It is also much cheaper to run than an electric system.
